The data exchange mechanism allows you to automate the processes of transferring data between workstations on which the program is installed, or from other programs (for example, 1C).
As data, you can set information about goods, discounts, sales operations, receipt and order of goods. These operations are filtered by composition, and prices are converted as needed. Workplaces are connected with each other using a local network or the Internet. Data is sent in the form of xml or txt files to the directories specified in the settings.
Data exchange is divided into two main operations: data export, the program sends data, and data import, receives data from files. You can set several import or export settings, and then the program has the ability to receive data from many data sources, for example, from two or more remote warehouses. Communication, thus, allows you to apply maximum independence in working with remote points of sale, and at the same time get a consolidated accounting of operations.
The import setup consists of defining the directory in which the files will be received. This directory can be located on a local disk or a file server, FTP server. Data file import settings form:
All files in the directory specified in the "CONNECT TO:" setting are processed. First, the files are copied to a temporary folder, and then imported into the program.
In the export settings, you need to define the directory into which the data files will be sent. Determine the operations during fixing, which will generate files and the types of prices that customers can use:
It is advisable to choose a client computer as a host (data directory) in order to reduce the load on the data exchange process.
The same settings are applied on the remote client, simultaneously with the deployment of the MS FTP service on the client computer. Then, in the settings of the host program (server), select connections to the FTP client server, for example:
The host program (server) is connected to:
ftp://220.127.116.11/OUT (client input directory)
ftp://18.104.22.168/IN (client output directory)
The client (remote computer) is connected to:
Thus, you can reduce network traffic and get the best performance.
To communicate with other software (for example, 1C), specialists need to obtain samples of exchange files, they can be obtained by adding a temporary exchange in the program (data export), and perform the required number of export operations.
