Due to the termination of coinage of 1, 2, 5 and 25 kopecks, the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) introduces a system of rounding of amounts in checks when calculating in cash.
Rounding the amount of purchases started on July 1. From the same date, the coinage of coins ceases - they will be gradually withdrawn from circulation.
The rounding rules will work only in the absence of coins from both the buyer and the seller.
In this regard, the constant of rounding the amount in the check is added.
"In the event that the buyer has coins of small denominations, he can later calculate them, and in the event that there are such coins from the seller, he can give the buyer a delivery of these denominations", – explained in the NBU and advised to indicate in checks the total amount before rounding and after it to use the discount mechanism - this does not require additional costs for reprogramming the PPO.
